Creating a Stir
For those in the know in the art world, the name on everyones lips is Tom Climent. The 26 year old artist has been creating a stir amongst dealers, critic, buyers and admirers sine winning the 1996 Victor Treacy Award which establishes the best emerging artists in the country. Selected by Brian Fallon, Chief Art Critic of the Irish Times, he highlighted Climent as the artist to watch in 1997. His recent exhibition in the Temple Bar Gallery was acclaimed as a great success. Many of Tom’s buyers, including Renata Coleman and Delia Roche-Kelly were there as well as Gerry and Morah Ryan, Patrick Bergin, Sonia Reynolds, Irene Keogh and renowned glass artist, Killian Smith, is already planing Climent’s exhibition for 1998.
